FAQs
Q: Should I take malaria medication?
A: Loreto (Iquitos) has malaria risk. We use mosquito nets, screens, and recommend repellent; we don’t do jungle walks at night. Talk to a travel clinic before you fly — we do not prescribe. Some antimalarials (mefloquine/Lariam, doxycycline) are a poor mix with ceremony; a few Iquitos centers mention Malarone as the one they see used — ask your clinician. This is guidance to discuss with a clinician, not medical advice.
Q: What does the $875 week include?
A: Seven days in Iquitos: 3 ayahuasca ceremonies, 2 jungle excursions, daily hatha yoga, shared lodging, dieta meals, Iquitos airport pickup and drop-off, intake screening, sharing circles, a plant bath, an integration talk before you leave, and one follow-up call.
Q: What is not included?
A: International flights, travel insurance, extra nights in Iquitos before/after the retreat, and a private room (available as an upgrade — ask when you inquire).
Q: How do I book?
A: Use Contact or Book a Consultation on the site. We’ll send intake/screening before you confirm and fly.
Q: How do I get there?
A: Fly into Iquitos (IQT), usually via Lima. Arrive the day before if you can; we pick you up for the week and drop you back at the airport after.
Q: Who holds the group?
A: Greg Forret — yoga teacher, facilitator, and group leader — holds the week on the ground: daily hatha yoga, the group container, and sitting with you through ceremony. Ceremonies are with local indigenous shamans.
Q: What about the dieta / food?
A: Meals follow a simple jungle dieta to support ceremony work. Well send preparation guidelines after you inquire.
