Meet Our Staff

I’m Chris Haynes, founder of Rebirth Healing Center.

I come from an extremely rough childhood marked by trauma — mental and physical abuse, and drug use in the home. For years I met anxiety and abandonment with substances. At 16 I spent a year in jail, and through that I was institutionalized. After I got out, intense PTSD left me with heavy anxiety, stomach issues, and a sense of being lost — unable to fully be myself.

Ayahuasca changed that. My first ceremonies were some of the hardest moments of my life, but when I came home I could speak openly, say how I felt, and stop living so closed off and preoccupied with what others would think. Ayahuasca helped me with my PTSD and my trauma. My mission is to offer people the same healing I found and still carry — myself. That’s why I founded Rebirth in 2022.

Meet Our Staff

Greg Forret

Yoga teacher, facilitator, and group leader

Greg Forret moved to the jungle in January 2018, a few months after his first visit, after feeling a clear call to stay. He spent two and a half years as primary facilitator at a retreat center, and at times helped run the place.

The years since have been his own work — healing, walking with the medicine, and living in the jungle in a few different locations. He has studied and worked with shamans in both mestizo and Shipibo traditions, and completed several short dietas and a few longer ones.

Greg also holds sound baths with a RAV handpan and singing bowls. He keeps a strong yoga and meditation practice, and loves sharing what he knows of the medicine, the plants, and the jungle.
