Plant Diets
What is a plant dieta?
A plant dieta is a quiet, intentional time of sitting with a master plant of the Amazon — under care, in a held space — so the plant can meet you where you are and support deep healing. You slow down, simplify life and food, drink the plant medicine prepared for you, and listen. Many people find the plant speaks through rest, dreams, feeling, and ceremony.
How our plant diets work
At Rebirth, our plant diets are run in a traditional Shipibo method. Plant diets can last from one week to six months, depending on the plant and what you need. We choose the plant with you, and walk with you through the process.
What you eat
Food stays simple and very bland so your body can stay open to the plant. We serve two meals a day — chicken, rice, oatmeal, yuca, or green banana.
During the dieta
Jungle excursions are not included during a plant dieta. The heart of the dieta is quiet time alone with yourself and the master plant — space to feel, listen, and process. Jungle trips are part of the ceremony week without dieta; during dieta we keep the days still on purpose.
Plants we offer
Bobinsana — the heart plant; softens, opens, and steadies feeling
Chiric Sanango — a warming ally for body pain, courage, and patience
Noya Rao — a plant of light, clarity, and deeper connection
Ajo Sacha — the garlic of the jungle; protection and clearing
Ayahuma strength, grounding, and protection
Chuchuhuasi — endurance and the capacity to hold through long healing
Uña de Gato (cat’s claw) — A deep Amazonian tonic and ancestral plant ally. We may offer this dieta when someone needs support for immune strength, inflammation, recovery, or long-held depletion — a plant that helps the body rebuild and cleanse while the spirit work unfolds.
…and more.
